BibleTimelines.com is here to make the truth easier to see.  (This site does not attempt to give a lot of dates because for the most part truth is not dependent on precise dates.  Exceptions would include where Bible prophecy specifies a date.  When that applies the dates are shown.)


Every event, every story and every principle in the Bible shows the character of God, His goodness, grace and love, or it shows just how much sin hurts and destroys everything it touches and why Jesus gave up everything to save us from it. (If you find something in the Bible that you do not understand, try looking at it from this angle.)


BibleTimelines.com (also known as Bible Timelines Online) is a free series of over 20 interactive (or printable) timelines, videos, short articles, posters, postcards, books and bookmarks dedicated to illustrating the details of the Gospel of Jesus Christ & His love for us.  This website is attempting to help sort and arrange our Bible's bits and pieces of information about the Gospel into a logical and understandable picture so that you will be able to learn, know and understand your Bible easier and faster.

The entire Gospel Story has been laid out in a single timeline.  (The Gospel is the story of God's amazing love for us.  It's the story of what He has done, is doing, and is going to do to save us from this pit of sin we are in.)

These timelines are not your typical Bible timelines.  The typical Bible timeline shows when an event took place whereas these Bible timelines were designed to help in understanding the reasons why an event happened.

The timelines category is divided into 3 categories of its own:

  1. Bible History Timelines

    These timelines/charts are attempting to place events in their correct sequence and show why things happened the way they did. They show what God has already done for us.
     

  2. Bible Prophecy Timelines

    These timelines/charts are showing a few prophecies in timeline format. They show a little of what God will do for us.
     

  3. Bible Principles Timelines

    These timelines/charts are attempting to show a few very important principles in timeline format, thereby giving us a better picture of who God is and what He's like. These also show us some of why God does what He does.

 




When Jesus came to this earth His purpose was to show us what God the Father was like. Everything Jesus taught, everything He did was for that purpose. Think of it as similar to the way we study the sun. If the sun were right here it would totally destroy us, but life is made possible because it is where it is and so we study it by observing what it does from where it's at. The more we focus on what our sun does the more we learn about the sun itself. In like manner, the more we focus on Jesus the more we learn what the Father is like.
 

And because we know that when you love someone you want the absolute best for them, we can also know that God wants the absolute best for us. This is why He must destroy sin completely.  God is always thinking about our happiness and our well being in everything He does and in everything He asks of us. Jeremiah 29:11   In fact, Jesus came to earth so that we might have life and have more of it, not just after we get to heaven, but also right now. John 10:10   What this means is that God wants you to be really happy, even beyond your wildest dreams, and because of this you can trust Him completely!
 

God has promised, "And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13 The more we learn about God, the more we will appreciate this love, and so this site is dedicated to sharing lessons learned about God and about His love.
